Quick Wins
what could provide fast rewards
Quick Wins is a lens for spotting changes that could pay off fast with little effort: small fixes, not big projects. For a newsroom, a quick win can build momentum and show what is possible. A team might pause here to find the low-effort changes that have been sitting in plain sight.
Questions to explore
// use these as prompts in a workshop or on your own. There are no right answers.
- What small change here could save us time this week?
- Which fix have we put off that would take little effort to make?
- Where would a minor adjustment remove a recurring annoyance?
- What could we test cheaply before committing to anything larger?
- Which quick win would the team feel the most?
Expert voices
// notes from the journalists and AI experts who helped shape this kit
“Begin AI adoption with low-risk, high-impact applications rather than ambitious transformations. Build confidence and competence incrementally.”
Lynn Khellaf, DW
Things to consider
- A quick win is meant to be small, so resist letting it grow into a project.
- Early wins build the confidence to take on harder changes.
- Test a small change cheaply before you scale it up.
