Output
what your ai solution delivers
This card covers what your AI tool hands back to the user. The form of the output, a draft, a summary, a list, a score, decides how a journalist checks and uses it. Being clear about output also sets honest expectations about what the tool produces and what still needs a human.
Questions to explore
// use these as prompts in a workshop or on your own. There are no right answers.
- What exact form does the output take, and how does a journalist verify it?
- How will the output show its limits or flag where it might be wrong?
- What does a good result look like, and how would you spot a bad one?
- Who reviews the output before it reaches a reader or a published story?
- How might the output be misread or trusted more than it should be?
Things to consider
- Output that looks polished can hide errors, so make checking easy.
- Decide what the tool will not output, such as final published copy.
- Match the output format to how the work is actually used next.
using this card
Pull Output when it is relevant and set it aside when it is not. Pair it with the other AI Solutions cards, lay them out on a table, and use the questions above to get everyone on the same page. Capture what you discuss on sticky notes or in a shared doc.
